Here at The Cottage Bathe, we believe that the simple things in life are the best. With that philosophy in mind, we have created a line of handmade soaps and body care products that we feel are pure and simple, yet elegant and enchanting. All made with the finest ingredients for your personal pampering needs.
Our soaps are all made by hand, in the traditional cold process method, using 100% fresh, pure goat's milk that is provided by our own herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats. Our soaps are true goat's milk soaps. We also allow each bar of soap to cure for 4 weeks before it is offered for sale. This assures you of a long lasting bar of soap. The fresh goat's milk, combined with olive oil, palm kernel oil, coconut oil, shea butter and castor oil, creates a mild and creamy, long lasting bar of soap that your skin will love.
So before you step into the bathe or shower again, come to
The Cottage Bathe and you too can experience the enchantment of bathing
with handmade goat's milk soaps. |

We are very proud to announce that the world renowned San Diego Zoo, now has 7 of our Nigerian Dwarf goats in their children's petting zoo! We donated Kimmy and Butterscotch to them in 2006 and they were the absolute hit of the petting zoo. With their small size and friendly, sweet personalities, the children just fell in love them. So when the zoo called us last year and requested more goats, we were more than happy to accommodate them as we just happened to have 7 new baby goats.
In January of this year, we made a trip down to the zoo to deliver 5 of our 7 baby goats to them. Since we are fairly new goat keepers, we are overjoyed to be able to provide goats for such a world class zoo that will provide our babies a happy life full of love and excellent care. If you intended to visit the San Diego Zoo, make sure to go to the petting zoo and visit with our kids!
Our struggles with the county over our goats continues, however, we finally have some good news to report. We won our appeal over the citation and fine that were issued to us in December of 2007!! We look at this as one small step for man, one large step for goats.
We also had our meeting with Supervisor Stone and we are hopeful that he will see that the time has come to Go Green With Goats! We are positive that changes will come, not only for us, but for everyone who wants to keep goats.
We are hoping he sees that it is necessary to go back to some of the old ways in order to assure a future for our children.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone could keep a couple goats for milk and some chickens for eggs in their yards along with a victory garden for food. I only hope that the the county sees it this way as well. Please keep us in your prayers and please keep the emails coming! We appreciate your support very much.
Pictures are still a work in progess, but we hope to have them done soon.
